How to schedule periodic display of content
AbleSign makes it easy to schedule content to appear periodically – for example on the first tuesday of every month.
To start, click on the screen you would like to manage. In this case we are using the demonstration screen.
Create an item in your playlist. We are using the snowscape demo video in this example.
Click the menu on your playlist item and select Schedule periodic display.
The Schedule Periodic Display window will appear.
Click in the checkbox to enable periodic display.
You can now enter your initial display times. In our example we are setting the initial display period as 10:00 to 18:00 on January 6th, 2025. This is the first time that our video will show on a screen.
Going forward, we want our video to show on the 6th of every month. Click on Repeat and select Custom.
The form that appears is very flexible allowing you to set your content to repeat playback by week, month or year. You can also specify repeat patterns as relative values such as last weekday of the month or second Tuesday.
If you just need to display the item at certain times each week it is better to use set daily display times instead.
When you’ve set your schedule click Save. Finally, don’t forget to save Save Changes on your playlist to apply it your screen.
